I know, I was really hoping for mother-daughter bonding in season three as they deal with the whole Caroline is a vampire and what this really means (as opposed to what Liz thought it meant), but nothing. Have you seen the deleted scenes yet? They made me happy. They missed that opportunity, maybe season four will make up for it.
Crazy shippers are most welcome here, ship away :). I've never been much of a Damon/Elena shipper, though I have shipped Stefan/Elena/Damon, but I've kind of been leaning towards Damon/Elena mainly because I ship Stefan with everyone, and Stefan with everyone won't happen unless Elena is with someone else. Also I think as Elena grows into a darker character, the Damon/Elena ship begins to make more sense to me. And I loved that scene in 3x19.
